Skiing in Bad Hofgastein offers plenty of athletic challenges on pistes with a vertical drop of more than 1,000m, such as the Hohe Scharte Nord piste at 10.4km long and covering 1,440 vertical metres, one of the longest runs in the Eastern Alps. But there are also suitable slopes for beginners and intermediates. In the Gasti Schneepark, the smallest ski bunnies learn the joys of skiing for the first time.
