Skiing in Bad Hofgastein offers plenty of athletic challenges on pistes with a vertical drop of more than 1,000m, such as the Hohe Scharte Nord piste at 10.4km long and covering 1,440 vertical metres, one of the longest runs in the Eastern Alps.
