Festung Hohensalzburg” (fortress)

Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße” High Alpine Road
The most renowned and beautiful panoramic road in Europe, the Großglockner High Alpine Road at the foot of the highest mountain in Austria has a length of 48 km within the Hohe Tauern National Park, and takes you up to 2571 m above sea level, ending at the longest glacier in the East Alps, the Pasterze. “Erlebnisburg Hohenwerfen” Castle
Experience the middle ages at first hand in this former archbishop’s defence castle from the 11th century. Take a journey back in time with the puzzle and special children’s audio guide, and there are also flight demonstrations given by the historic falconry centre with predominantly local birds of prey to view. There is also a wide range of things for children to do, a real highlight.

Visit the Haus der Natur in Salzburg and discover the fascinating underwater world in the aquarium, the space hall, dinosaurs from a long forgotten time, a journey into the human body, and more. There are about 80 interactive stations encouraging you to research and experiment.
“Salzburger Freilichtmuseum” local history museum
Take a trip back 6 centuries into Salzburg’s past through over 100 original buildings from farming, craft, and industry. The museum area is approximately 50 ha in size, and can conveniently be explored using the museum’s railway.
The Krimml waterfalls have a total fall height of 385 m, making them the largest waterfalls in Europe. There is also the waterfall centre, “Aquaszenarium” or Aqua Park for young and old, guaranteeing fascinating insight into the power of water.
